Villain



Villain is a 1971 English Gangster film loosely based off of 1960s Thug Ronnie Kray. The film was directed by TV Movie Director Michael Tuchner and hosts a wonderful cast. Ian McShane (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Richard Burton (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Where Eagles Dare), and Joss Ackland (Lethal Weapon 2, The Hunt For Red October) just to name a few. The Film originally Featured a sex scene between Burton and McShane's characters, which was later removed in fear of the publics reaction to Homosexuality.

A Group of notorious gangsters plan to rob a payroll exchange at a local business. The ring leader, Vic Dakin has friends in high places and an even higher love for violence. Halfway through planning the gang find that some members are being watched by Scotland Yard, in an attempt to get evidence on Vic. Inspector Bob Matthews, through a series of encounters with gang members, shows hes not afraid to play dirty. Not convinced, Vic decides to go on with the plan. Some things are easier said than done and Vic soon finds this may be one crime he wont get away with.
