The Curse of the Werewolf



The Curse of The Werewolf is a 1961 British Horror Film Directed by Terence Fisher. The Film Stars Oliver Reed (Tommy, The Three Musketeers), Yvonne Romain (Devil Doll), Clifford Evans (Kiss of The Vampire), and Anthony Dawson (Dial 'M' For Murder). The Screenplay is biased on the 1933 Novel "The Werewolf of Paris" by Guy Endore. Over 5 minutes of this film was cut due to censorship.

Somewhere in Spain, where people don't speak Spanish too well and have British accents, A beggar arrives in town. He is told to visit the king if he wants to receive food and money. At the castle the beggar is made a fool of and then thrown in the dungeon, where he is soon forgotten. Some years later, a servant girl is thrown in the dungeon. Having gone insane, the beggar has his way with her, and then dies. Once released from the dungeon, the servant girl runs away. She is soon found half dead by a doctor at a local estate. She is Pregnant and due on Christmas Day. After giving birth, the servant girl instantly dies, leaving the child to be taken care of by the doctor and his wife. This is no ordinary child, the doctor soon finds that the boy is actually a Werewolf. As The boy grows older he wants to go out on his own into the world. But can he control is wolf like urges to kill? I sure hope not!
